III.2 – Budget Modifications

During the second quarter 2001 reductions in the appropriations of the Federal Administration were made with a view to neutralizing the shortfall in estimated revenue collection, resulting in a ruling appropriation of 51,619.0 million pesos at 30 June 2001.

Adjustments causing reductions in the total current and capital expenditure, totaling –362.6 million pesos are mainly due to the following:

- A decrease of –244.5 million pesos without committing the objectives of the 2001 Budget in any significant way. The distribution of the measure, dated 23 April 2001, is shown in the chart below:

- A reduction of –125,4 million pesos of diverse jurisdictions, resulting from the application of a uniform percentage on budget balances not yet incurred of the appropriations funded with loans from the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank (IBRD) and others.
