FONCAP and Banco Nacion introduce the FINC Award

The Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry of Finance and President of FONCAP, Pablo Quirno, and the President of Banco Nacion, Javier Gonzalez Fraga, signed an agreement to create the FINC award for microfinance innovation projects.

This award, of federal scope, will have the purpose of strengthening institutions and increasing financial inclusion of micro-entrepreneurs. The winner project will receive ARS 150,000 to develop it and it will be announced within the framework of FOROMIC 2017, Global Forum on Microfinance organized by the Multilateral Investment Fund (FOMIN) that this year will be taking place in Buenos Aires. Within the context of this event, the winner will also receive the Inter-American Award for Financial and Entrepreneurial Innovation (awarded by FOMIN) for USD 3,000.

In that regard, Pablo Quirno said: “We are proud to give the first national award to the innovation in microfinance and to have the support of Banco Nacion. This initiative is the result of the work and the effort done in FONCAP for more entrepreneurs to fulfill their projects and develop their business”.
