The Minister of Finance, Luis Caputo, met this morning with the Vice President of the World Bank for Latin America and the Caribbean. Caputo was also accompanied by the Undersecretary of International Financial Relations, Félix Martín Soto, and the Argentine representative before the World Bank, Daniel Pierini.

Likewise, the Director for Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, Jesko Hentschel, was part of the multilateral organization’s delegation. Within this framework, they talked about investment prospects for the country.

After said meeting, Caputo and Familiar met with the Minister of Treasury, Nicolás Dujovne.

The Minister of Finance, Luis Caputo, participated this afternoon in the execution of the cooperation agreements between the Financial Information Unit (UIF, for its acronym in Spanish) and the Governments of the Province of Buenos Aires and of the City of Buenos Aires. The Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, María Eugenia Vidal, the Mayor of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, and the Head of the UIF, Mariano Federici, signed the documents. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Public Works and Housing, Rogelio Frigerio, and the Secretary of Provinces, Alejandro Caldarelli, also attended the event conducted at the “Salón de los Pueblos Originarios” in Casa Rosada.

Within this context, Caputo said: “The agreements signed today between the UIF and the two jurisdictions with the highest economic activity of the country are a great opportunity to achieve financial integrity, which is essential to build confidence in the markets and to protect stability”.

The agreements are aimed at developing and executing policies to address the issues related to serious crimes and their prevention from a financial point of view. Likewise, actions of institutional strengthening will be conducted, communication channels will be developed, and training programs will be carried out.

The Minister of Finance, Luis Caputo, met this afternoon with the Governor of Tierra del Fuego AIAS, Rosana Bertone, and they talked about the conditions of the Province’s next access to the capital market. This financing will enable the execution of important infrastructure works for the population of Tierra del Fuego.

The Finance Minister was accompanied by his Chief of Cabinet, Pablo Quirno, and the team of the Governor was comprised by the Minister of Economy of Tierra del Fuego, José Labroca, and the Secretary of Development and Investments, Leonardo Zara.
