Martín Guzmán made a toast at the end of the year with the Ministry employees


The Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, made a toast at the end of the year with the employees of the Ministry. In addition, the Public Official celebrated the 80th anniversary of the creation of the building of the Ministry of Economy, and a commemorative plaque was uncovered for said reason.

In this context, the Minister expressed his absolute commitment with the administration to achieve an orderly economy, and called for each Government official to focus on every task assigned “to contribute from our position to give shape to the Argentina we want” said Guzmán.

Meeting of President Alberto Fernández with Diego Maradona


President Alberto Fernández received Diego Maradona this afternoon at Casa Rosada. The Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, also shared part of the meeting.
Born in La Plata and supporter of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata soccer team, Guzmán met the legendary number 10 of the Argentine National Soccer Team and current coach of the institution.

Diego also autographed t-shirts of the “tripero” club, of the Argentine National Soccer Team and of Argentinos Juniors – the president is a fan of the club at which Maradona started his career.

Announcement by the Secretariat of Finance


The National Executive Power sent to the Honorable Congress of the Argentine Nation a bill on Social Solidarity and Productive Recovery, which lays the groundwork for the solution of the economic and social crisis that the Argentine Republic is experiencing.

Within said framework, the “External Debt Sustainability Management Unit” is created within the scope of the Secretariat of Finance under the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, which will be in charge of one of the purposes included in the aforementioned bill, being its main duty to manage the sustainability of the external public debt of Argentina.

This Unit will initiate a consultation process generating a channel for dialogue with various market participants and agents in line with the objectives proposed by the Minister of Economy.

At this stage, this Secretariat invites financial institutions and financial advisors to participate in the interaction process that allows the country to restore the sustainability of its external public debt as a part of the comprehensive macroeconomic program in force.

Viviana Seville Salas, the new Secretary of Legal and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Economy

Viviana Seville Salas joins the team announced by Minister Martín Guzmán on December 11, composed of the Secretaries of the Treasury, Raúl Rigo; of Finance, Diego Bastourre; of Economic Policy, Haroldo Montagu and of Tax Policy, Roberto Arias.

Mrs. Secretary is a Lawyer and an Attorney, graduated from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of Universidad of Buenos Aires. Subsequently, she completed a Master’s Degree in Administration and Public Policies and she holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Law, from Universidad de San Andrés and Universidad Austral, respectively. She has recently obtained a Diploma in Governance, Compliance, Control & Assurance, also at Universidad de San Andrés. Abroad, Viviana Seville Salas received training through various courses and seminars at Michigan State University and at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Es autora de numerosas publicaciones académicas a nivel nacional e internacional, al tiempo que cuenta con una amplia participación en congresos y conferencias tanto como expositora como moderadora.
